In 2019, I partnered with the high school’s drama club to design a logo for a new summer program that was being developed. The program was titled “SWADS: Students Who Act, Dance & Sing.” It was a summer intensive program for students in the drama club who wanted to learn more about performing and work with the directors on their skills. The logo was inspired by the school’s previous Artistic Director who was tragically killed in a hit and run incident while she was out running. She was in process of developing the program but never got to see it come to fruition. The new Artistic Director made sure to utilize her materials including her ideas for a logo. We incorporated her initials “JSJ” into the logo as a tribute to her.
